A Review on How Long Till September?
By: Danella Nissi Acosta*

This two-language story is simply about a young girl who is really hyped up for her birthday. She so excited that she started counting down for her birthday in October. As the story goes, the girl describes the things that happen each month and the celebrations that they, well, celebrate.
This book teaches kids the months in the year and its events too. It also promotes Filipino culture by showing the traditions that Filipinos have each month such as Flores de Mayo, All Saints Day, Linngo ng Wika, and Simbang Gabi.
The illustrations of this book are very colorful that it’s really an eye-catcher for the kids. It’s very clear and is easy to understand that just by looking you can understand what is happening.
I recommend this book not only to kids but also adults since this book isn’t only educational but also show our country’s culture and tradition. This book is not only for us Filipinos but also for the foreign people so that they can learn more about us in a simple way.
