A child can be a hero

The little whale sharks were living in a peaceful sea playing hide-and-seek with their little whale sharks friends. Living a life for them was very peaceful and funny. However one day, some of whale sharks were almost dying. However, the little whale shark gave a great idea and saved the adult whale sharks with their friends.

I read the book named ‘Si Bing, and MunTing BuThanDing’. It was beautiful story that gives hope to children. Many people think that children cannot solve problems because they are still young and do not have enough knowledge. So probably, they tend to disregard children like me. However, this book is telling that even children can save others lives in their particular way. Children should have self-confidence with their action and adults should respect their way of solving the problem.

There were little whale shark who are playing hide-and-seek game. They have been living a very peaceful and pleasant life. One day, somebody came to them and tried to disturb their life. However the little whale sharks’ great idea, the playing turned out to a big plan to save all of them from some unexpected visitors.

The characters in story book are very important. When I look at the characters in this story, I can define that the little whale sharks are very positive and energetic. When they faced the crisis, they might feel sad and they could give up what have done to them, however, they did not give up. They try themselves to help adult whale shark and they made a good solution which save adults’ lives. If I were the little whale shark, I would cry and see what is happening. However, they were very positive to overcome the fear and energetic to save their lives.

The illustrations were very gratifying. The book was composed in two languages, Filipino and English. To learn English is very hard, however with this method, I think it will be a good idea to let children to learn English naturally. The drawing was friendly. In our real lives, whale sharks are very scary. However the artist drew them accessibly. It will help children to think whale shark as their friends. And the artist drew bottom of the sea in detail. I was able to see seaweed, sand, living things like small fish and also boat. It will help children to imagine more and more.

This book is telling that age is not an obstacle to do good things. I was one of them who think a child cannot do. So, in my childhood, I usually stayed at the back. When I started growing up, I tried to help the little children as many as I can although they can do by themselves. However this story fixed my mind. This story showed that even a child can save another person’s life. I should respect their action and give them chance to do something. The author gives confidence and hope to children in this book.

I want to recommend this book to other people because it is a children’s book with a good lesson. This book gives hope and confidence to children and it makes the adult reader to respect what children do. If you do not trust children, you better read this book. It can help children see their possibilities and will let them imagine what is at the bottom of the sea. Surely, this book is commendable.
